Promotional Items - A Great Advertising Technique

Published by seoguy under Business

Promotional items are the items used by your customers and business associates in their everyday lives. Gifting promotional items is a great way to increase brand recognition and customer loyalty. When you design attractive promotional items you can rest assured people will use them often and even remember you always. For instance, every time someone sips a coffee in your promotional mug will be reminded of your company’s name, products, and services.

You can find a wide range of promotional items for every business need. Apart from providing it to your clients or customers, you can even provide them to your employees. This can be done during office parties and other company events appreciating their hard work and loyalty. By providing promotional items such as coffee mugs, printed shirts, calendars, calculators, mouse mats, and many more to your employees boost morale and create incentives for increased productivity.

Along with these promotional items you can even go for corporate items like pens, desk clocks, and golf shirts to your long-term business partners. Gifting these items helps you to promote positive feelings, and encourages people to continue doing business with your for years to come. We all know that, it’s far easier to keep an existing customer than it is to attract a new one.

Promotional items are very handy for attracting new customer.

To have a profitable business, it is very important to cultivate a long-term relationship with your customers. After all, it is your return to the customers who provide close to 80% of your annual sales and business. Promotional items are one of the best ways to push repeat business and further orders from customers who have bought from you in the past. According to the latest market research it was revealed that, customers who receive promotional items as sales incentives return sooner and order more. The number is much larger than customers who receive coupons for discounts on their next purchase.

Promotional items even make wonderful thank you items to customers or clients who make a purchase from you. Whenever you send promotional items along with an order, you’re letting your customer know that you value their business. That value adding message comes through even more loudly when the promotional items are sent under separate cover.

Many businesses use promotional items to entice customers to come back and order again. For instance, if you own a computer company, and every time makes a service call or repair a computer in house, it is wise to leave a free promotional mouse pad. This will surely increase your return customer rate by nearly 50%.

Promotional Keyrings Hold the Key to Your Advertising

Published by seoguy under Business

Are you looking for a promotional item that everyone is happy to have? One that your customers will carry with them and use every day? Isn’t everyone? Promotional keyrings may just hold the key to your marketing dilemma.

Look how promotional keyrings fit the hallmarks of the ideal promotional item for a small business:

Keyrings can’t be beat for low cost

Small businesses don’t have the huge budgets of big corporations, so they have to make every spend count and stretch their advertising budget as far as it will go. Promotional keyrings are a great choice as tradeshow and community giveaways. For as little as £.25 per printed keyring, you can put your name in everyone’s pocket.

Keyrings are about as portable as it gets

The best promotional items are the ones that people carry with them. When you’re trying to increase name visibility, you want to put your name on items that your customers will see often. Keyrings are a great choice - most people carry their keys with them everywhere they go. Every time they pull out their keys, they’ll be seeing your name.

Keyrings have plenty of room for your name or logo

When you’re choosing promotional items, you want to choose items that can be branded with your name. Printed plastic or metal keyrings give you lots of room to include your logo, company name and contact details so that they’re always handy to your potential customers.

Keyrings are great passive advertising

There are some businesses that people don’t use every day - estate agents, for instance. People don’t buy houses more than a few times in their lives, generally. When they are ready to sell, they’re going to look for a familiar name to help them with the ins and outs.

What’s more familiar than the name they’ve been seeing day in and day out for months?

Keyrings are almost endlessly customizable

It’s important that the promotional items that you choose be unique enough to stand out from the crowd. While promotional keyrings are popular promotional items, there’s such a wide variety of styles available that it’s easy to make yours unique. You can choose from dozens of shapes in many different materials, and include bells and whistles like integral LED torches to make your keyring the one that your customers want to carry with them.

Keyrings lend themselves to many different delivery methods

Keyrings are very easy to distribute. You can give them out at events and trade shows, or keep them in a bucket at the till or front desk of your office. They’re small and light enough to be enclosed in a direct mail advert, but the higher ranges look suitably impressive if you package them up for gift giving.

Promotional keyrings are only one of many different kinds of promotional items that are ideal for small company advertising and marketing campaigns. If you’re looking for more ideas on promotional items and advertising gifts, check in with one of the top promotional suppliers in the UK. They’ll have a full catalog of excellent choices in all price ranges and styles for your next promotional campaign.

How To Triple Your Productivity In 28 Days - Part I

Published by seoguy under General

The quickest and easiest way to boost your productivity is to develop your concentration.
Developing your concentration directly affects your self-discipline, perseverance, and the ability to
accomplish the goals you set.

Why is this so?

Because concentration is a form of self-discipline, just over a shorter time span.
When you focus your attention over a short time span, it’s called concentration.
When you focus your attention over a longer time span (ie. a month, a year, a lifetime), it’s called self-discipline, perseverance, and consistency.

In order words, Productivity!

Famous author, Theron Q Dumont, said this about concentration:

“It is the utmost value to learn how to concentrate. To make the greatest success of anything you must be able to concentrate our entire thought upon the idea you are working on. The
person that is able to concentrate utilizes all constructive thoughts and shuts out all destructive ones. The greatest man would accomplish nothing if he lacked concentration”

The first 2 concentration builders I am giving you I learned from the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
These are the same concentrationbuilders that many Olympic athletes use every day in order to excel in their chosen sports. Use them yourself and watch your concentration, self-discipline and productivity soar.

* Concentration Builder Week 1

This first exercise is simple, but since most people have horrible concentration, it’s good to start small.

Each time you eat, simply count the number of the number of times you chew your food before you swallow.

Throughout the week, build up to chewing your food 32 times before you swallow.
You’ll probably find your mind wandering and losing count.
That’s ok. Just start over from 1 with each new bite.

* Concentration Builder Week 2

Again, start off slow and build upon ths concentration builder for week 2. You’ll see your concentration noticeably improving as you do. Start by picking a number from 3 - 6.
Whenver you are walking anywhere, simply count your steps.
For instance, if you pick the number 4,
it goes like this step. 1…step. 2…..step 3…..step. 4 and start over at 1.
If you find your mind wandering, no need to beat yourself up.
Just gently go back to focusing on counting your steps.

Practice these concentration builders over the next 2 weeks
and watch your concentration gradually improve and your productivity reach new heights

Basic Steps To Start A Laminate Flooring Business

Published by seoguy under Business

While most people prefer other businesses, some people get into laminate flooring business. Like any other business in the world, if done right, it’s a quite profitable business. Laminate flooring has been successful since it was introduced on the market, first in Europe and then in the United States in 1996.

Here are some basic steps to follow before you start your laminate flooring business:

1. You should make specific short and long-term plans with clear goals and ways to evaluate them. Determine the resources needed such as the place from which you will work, people, money etc.

2. You should have a pretty good idea of what products and services you will sell and the benefits people who buy them will get.

3. Find important information about your competitors like their strengths and weaknesses because it helps you in setting a competitive bid. Always try to be unique.

4. Focus your promotions effectively by knowing who will buy your products/services. Think about the different promotion strategies and find out the best that suits your business. Focus your promotions in reaching the greatest number of customers.

5. Set up your laminate flooring business. Find out the start-up costs (gear, furniture, licenses etc.). Also find out how much you will have to pay to stay in business. These costs usually include rent, taxes, utilities, promotional expenses, etc.

6. Insurance is a must. There are several types of insurance that you must have like health and property insurance, for example. You may have to talk to an insurance agent to determine what suits your particular situation.

7. Take care of all the legal matters. You should contact your state’s department of commerce and industry and find out all the things you need to do in order to start your own laminate flooring business. In most cases you need to get a business license from your local municipality.

8. Start a business checking account and use it to perform any money related operation like depositing your income or pay your business related expenses. Setup a fairly simple bookkeeping system to record all your income and expenses in a way that makes tax preparation and monitoring your situation easier. Ask your tax advisor or accountant to make sure you do this right.

This list is far from a complete one so use it just to learn the basic steps to be taken when starting your own laminate flooring business. You should consult a business professional and do additional research to make sure your business will be successful.

Quality Star Power

Published by seoguy under General

In the fast hurly-whirly world of media obsessions, fame, outwardly, is the jewel in the crown. Getting crowned as a pop idol princess, or a mega movie icon prince,is no easy task without an entourage of publicity and public relations agents. Not to mention all the lawyers and their ilk. Image creation is the bewitching sorcery the professional spin doctors swirl and twirl with amazing results.

Many times an actor, or singer is swept off their feet by the media machine and before they know it…Hey Presto! they are a success in the eyes of the public. Gone is their anonymity and all seems glamour and glitter.

A few “mega stars” do manage to keep their ego’s in check and don’t take success too seriously. However; they are few and far between. As we all know, history teaches us that becoming rich and famous can have devastating consequences.

Without a firm foundation and an authentic self reflection of ones own true nature, the successful performer becomes a pawn in the moldable tinsel, media mechanism game. It becomes a game of grab all you can and manipulate the star for all they are worth. They become the goose that is laying their golden eggs and nothing else gets in the way of the promotional machine.

Thankfully for the average person, they are not going to suffer the slings and arrows of lamentable stardom, for all that glitters is not gold. Nevertheless, most people can still exist as a star performer in the game of life.

Let us take the game of golf as an example of how life can take on true meaning. If we could program a golf ball with a micro chip and every time the ball was struck off the tee, the ball would travel the whole distance of the fairway, run onto the green and into the cup. That would make golf a useless game, because everyone would win.

In every tournament there has to be a winner. All the golfers play the same course, yet there is always one who finds a pathway to success…why? When a golfer has been playing all his life what happens on that special day he becomes a winner? Is it just by chance. Is it a lucky day, or is there some other force at work? If there is an invisible force at work, can it be harnessed and implemented all the time?

Well, it would be of no benefit if a magical force nominated everyone top dog in every contest, job or lottery, because we would all be akin to the programed ball I was just pointing out. The fact of the matter is, the man made games we play are of no real significance. Winning or losing has no real meaning in the big picture. Fame and fortune, once achieved, will sooner or later evaporate its gilded, sugar coated lining.

Every human has unique qualities. They all perceive and interpret things differently.

However; there is an invisible, intrinsic force that can provide every human being with the ability to enjoy their life…so there is a magic ball after all. But this magic ball does not make physical winners, it makes intangible masters that overcome all traps, hazards and obstacles put in their path to spoil a scratch score of a carefree, sprightly life.

The magic ball cannot be purchased or bartered. No spin doctor or public relations firm can conjure up its image. No film stars status can produce or direct its course. No pop idol concept can fashion its orchestration. No religion is required to project its authenticity. No science is needed to radiate its truths. For this magic ball is not of human kind…but it does reside in human nature.

The authentic make up of human nature discharges an energy that is serene and kindly. It is filled with love and joy. It is powerful and complete. It is consummated by an unceasing spirit. It knows it is a glittering universal star who’s light beams across the universe. It needs no approval of any man made doctrine or dogma. It is the inheritance of all human beings, nestled away in every atom, cell and molecule.

You are invited to explore your magical ball and dance with a flavor to savor. Miraculously, you will discover…. You have; one hundred, billion neurons that are your biggest fans. They are keen to light up and applaud your positive, meaningful actions. You have; seven billion cells that pays you homage. They exist to glorify your good deeds. You live with Q-S-P… Quality Star Power….You are “Well - To - Do” Now Go Forth and Do Well…….. For Humanity!

Does Promotional Merchandise Make A Lasting Impression

Published by seoguy under Business

There are many different types of promotional merchandise, ranging from bags, pens, T-shirts and badges to calendars and desktop accessories, mugs, all usually imprinted with a company’s name, logo or message. The innovative use of promotional merchandise in developing solutions to marketing challenges can help raise brand awareness, increase tradeshow traffic, improve employee retention and much more.

The impact on brand image can be significant with recipients of promotional merchandise gaining a more positive overall image of a business. As a result, they are more likely to recommend the business to others and more likely to give it their custom. Promotional merchandise can also have a significant effect on increasing tradeshow traffic.

A US survey* found that 71.6% of tradeshow attendees who received an item of promotional merchandise remembered the name of the company that gave it to them, and that 76.3% had a favourable attitude towards the company.

By including a promotional product with a pre-show mailing, exhibitors can greatly increase the likelihood of a visitor coming to their stand. But is it a short term hit - a one-minute wonder - or does promotional merchandise have staying power?

Irrespective of the actual cost of the item, most promotional merchandise is useful and therefore appreciated by the recipient. Its retention and continued use means that the imprinted message gains repeated exposure without any additional cost to the advertiser.

With its inherent ability to inform, remind and persuade the recipient, promotional merchandise can be a cost-effective way of making a lasting impression.

Choosing Promotional Product To Sell Your Company

Published by seoguy under General

Promotional product is a type of marketing that can allow your business to take off. Many companies find that providing a product to the public about the service that they have to offer or the product that they are selling is important. Perhaps you have a new product that you want to get the word out about. Or, maybe you have just changed your name and want old and new customers to take note. The promotional product can help you with doing just that.

A promotional product can be virtually anything. When choosing one, you will need to consider the message, the budget and the overall cost of manufacturing/printing of it. Your largest determining factor will be finding the options that are within your budget. You can do this through any of the numerous websites that offer promotional products for you to choose from. But, that is not all of your cost.

Oftentimes, printing is more as well as the cost of getting those products into the consumer’s hands.

So, what can you use? You can use pretty much anything that you want to, really. For example, if you printed up and provide 100 associates with mugs that bared your logo on it, with a website or message, it would not be just those 100 people that would hear that message. It will be all individuals who see them carrying the mug to and from work, on the bus, or come in to see them at the office. It will be all those individuals who visit their homes or watch the game with them as they sip from their mug.

As you can see, the promotional product can be quite beneficial to you. Other products such as shirts and jackets can be even more powerful. But, it is wise to keep in mind that just because an individual sees the product that doesn’t mean they will act on it. To get them to do this, you need to have a powerful marketing logo, slogan or design. The combination of these elements can do wonders for a company!

What Are Some Of The Different Types Of Welding

Published by seoguy under General

Welding is used across the globe in some way in nearly every industry you can imagine. It’s used in industrial settings, open air environments, underwater and even in outer space. Welding is used on almost every scale – by handymen and structural engineers. And because there are so many uses for welding, there are also many different types of welding, each suited to different jobs and purposes. We’re going to take a look at some of the more popular kinds of welding.

Forge Welding
While not used as much as it was in the 19th century, there is still a place for forge welding today, especially when creating high-quality collectible knives and swords. This method of welding is one of the oldest around and relies on a process of heating and pounding metal. Forge welding is the craft employed by blacksmiths of old, making swords, weapons, horseshoes and many other day to day necessities.

Arc Welding
Arc welding relies on a welding power supply to create an electric arc between a positively charged electrode and a negatively charged steel place. The electrical current will “jump” through the resulting air gap and will create an arc of enormous heat – capable of melting metal.

Arc welding is one of the most widely used welding methods around and has many different secondary branches including:

• AC (Alternating Current) Arc Welding
• DC (Direct Current) Arc Welding
• Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
• Submerged Arc Welding (SAW),
• As well as many other specialized methods.

Gas Welding
Unlike arc welding, which relies on electricity, gas welding uses gas (usually a combustion of acetylene and oxygen) to produce a welding flame that exceeds temperatures of 3000 degrees Celsius.

Gas welding is one of the planets oldest and most versatile welding processes, but has gone out of fashion in industrial applications over the recent years. However, it is still popular to use when welding pipes and tubing, as well as with completing some repairs.

Varieties of gas welding methods include:

• Oxyfuel welding
• Air Acetylene Welding
• Oxygen Hydrogen Welding, and
• Pressure Gas Welding.

Resistance Welding
Resistance welding uses the application of an electric current along with mechanical pressure to create a weld between two pieces of metal.

This method allows higher speeds, easy automation and is suitable for high production rates. However, the initial equipment costs and lower tensile & fatigue strengths temper out the payoff.

Resistance welding is used heavily in the automotive industry.

Energy Beam Welding
As its name suggests, energy beam welding is a category of welding which utilizes a beam of such high energy intensity that it is capable of melting and vaporizing metals. This process of welding uses electron or laser beams and is very useful for precision welding, drilling and cutting.

Solid State Welding
Our final category, solid state welding is very similar to forge welding in that it doesn’t rely on the melting of metal to work. One of the most popular methods of solid state welding is ultrasonic welding, a process very similar to resistance welding, except instead of relying on an electrical current, vibration is used to create the energy output. Ultrasonic welding is used for making electrical connections out of aluminum or copper, and it is also a very common polymer welding process.

Other popular methods of solid state welding include:

• Explosion welding (relies on the use of incredibly high pressure and is often used to join two dissimilar materials.)
• Co-extrusion welding
• Cold welding
• Diffusion welding
• Friction welding
• High frequency welding
• Hot pressure welding
• Induction welding, and
• Roll welding.

Between these many different welding methods (and many more we didn’t identify) we are able to graft metals and other materials together in such a way that skyscrapers, space shuttles and automobiles can take shape. But, we can also do something as intricate as make jewelry. We’ve been welding for millennia, and we’ll do it for many millennia more.

Marketing Genius The CD Business Card

Published by seoguy under General

What is a CD Business card?

CD business card replication is a relatively new concept. CD Business Cards are business card shaped CD-ROM’s that can play in any standard computer CD drive. Usually jam packed full of multimedia information about your business…anything from a full interactive web site to a catalog to a power point presentation with music, video, whatever you can imagine. These cd business cards give you the power to illustrate much more than a standard printed business card can.

With cd business cards, you can include any audio, video (digital or VHS), PowerPoint presentations, brochures, sales literature and catalogs. You can even have “hot links” to your website and unlimited e-mail addresses to multiple departments, such as sales, customer service, technical support, etc.

Your entire product catalog can be put on a CD for a fraction of the cost of standard printed paper catalogs.

They actually come in many shapes and sizes, including a “hockey rink” shape with rounded corners, a credit card size and shape, a 3″ round mini, and custom shaped cds (imagine a cd die cut to your logo’s shape).

The real advantage to cd business cards is that besides being a cool marketing product in itself, they are small sized, and are easily stored in a wallet or shirt pocket, just like a standard printed business card.

Technology is now available to print on the disc in many ways. The standard is silk screening. But you can also upgrade to offset printing or digital printing at quality up to 600 dpi.

In addition, Using a unique new all-digital imaging process to print labels for any format of optical disc media, variable data an be printed on each individual disc, making serialization and personalization possible, regardless of the number produced.

Serialization can be used to control who can access data, along with accountability for how it is stored. This trackability helps prevent problems of piracy, theft, loss of production, and loss of sales, by making positive authenticity and ownership easy to establish.

Personalization can be used to provide consumers with individualized promotional items and even serve as mailing labels. Photos of agents and/or products provide big impact as business cards, invitations, catalogs and other marketing materials, even on a small marketing budget.

Some potential uses for cd business cards…

For a salesman/executive…

Photos of your products or services can be printed in full color on the CD business card with full contact information.

Within the content of the card, full catalogs can be included with product information and links to your website. On each CD label, individual client’s name and information can be printed, making each card uniquely personalized.

For real estate company…

Houses can be shown in multimedia virtual tours. Individual representative’s data can be printed on the face of the cd, specifically addressed to the prospect.

For an insurance company…

Client’s individual name and policy data can be printed on the CD label. Complete policy, actuarial information, and FAQs can be included or a full marketing presentation in multimedia can make an immediate impact.

For an automobile company…

Each dealership’s customer database can be leveraged by simply sending a CD business card to each customer with the latest leasing /product information. Each CD label can be individually personalized and printed with each customer’s information, salesman’s name and contact info, and type of vehicle that interests the customer.

For a fortune 500 company…

Reports, whether quarterly or annual can be issued to each stockholder on CD with individual name and number of shares printed on the CD face. Prospect uses could be distributed with current performance information printed on each CD label.

CD Business cards seem to be the hottest marketing item in the business sector these days, and its popularity is growing. They are only limited by your imagination.

Endless Possibilites With Custom Printed Lanyards

Published by seoguy under General

Custom printed lanyards are an extremely popular item and are readily available for purchase through a large amount of suppliers. Many suppliers have detailed e-commerce sites that allow buyers to select a lanyard style and customize it without ever having to leave their office or home. The finished product is typically delivered within one to three business days. Custom printed lanyards are relatively inexpensive, especially when purchased in large numbers. Often available for as little as a few cents per item, the choices in style, color, material, length, and print are seemingly endless.

Custom printed lanyards are often imprinted with a logo, slogan, name, or symbol. Employees, students, hospital staff members, seminar attendees, government workers, or military members commonly wear them. A variety of attachment hardware is available to secure important items.

Many company employees use lanyards to display identification badges while on the job.

An inexpensive source of advertising, custom printed lanyards serve as popular incentives and giveaway items at trade shows, seminars, and conferences. They are also used as promotional items at concerts, universities, and other venues.

Pet owners have also taken advantage of what custom printed lanyards have to offer. A lanyard worn around a dog or cat’s neck can be custom printed with the owner’s name, phone number, and address. If the pet were to become lost, the custom printed lanyard can provide valuable information to lead to the pet’s safe return. Registration and immunization tags can also be attached to the lanyard by using a split ring.
